Mr. Fritz joined Axene Health Partners, LLC in 2008. His 40 year actuarial career has been almost evenly divided between actuarial consulting positions and in-house actuarial and other executive positions within HMOs and health insurance companies. His health actuarial experience includes consulting services for a variety of health care organizations including:

Health plans: HMOs, PPOs, managed care plans, Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, insurance companies, etc.
Healthcare providers: hospitals, medical groups, ancillary providers, etc.
Various governments and government programs: federal, state and local, Medicare, Medicaid, CHAMPUS.
Employer health benefit plan sponsors

Mr. Fritz has held a number of executive positions including Chief Actuary of PacifiCare Health System, Chief Actuary of FHP Inc. and President & CEO of FHP Life Insurance Company. In consulting, he was a Vice President and Principal of Tillinghast, a Towers Perrin Company, and a Partner of Ernst & Young, LLP. In both situations, he had led the health actuarial practices for the respective firms in the West and was based in their Orange County, California offices.

Mr. Fritz has been a frequent speaker on healthcare issues. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has served on a number of committees for these actuarial organizations, including most recently as the Chair of the Subcommittee of the Health Risk Based Capital Committee of the AAA that developed the Risk Based Capital requirements for Medicare Part D that were recommended to and adopted by the NAIC in 2006.

In addition to his actuarial credentials, Mr. Fritz earned a BBA degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin.

Mr. Fritz is married, has four children and three grandchildren.
